Hosting the project is easy
The means by which we find our way has been developed as a mobile project. As an audio/visual work, it can easily be adapted to fit a variety of spaces, from projection to mounted flat-screen to televised arts-channel programming.
Depending on gallery space and lighting, the exhibition runs as two simultaneous projections with a stereo audio overlay component. The projections are the images that were submitted (New Zealand urban environments reinterpreted by international design educators) and the audio overlay is a collection of the textual reflections received from designers, read by staff, students and faculty at the School of Media Arts at Wintec.
We would also encourage those hosting the show to purchase a selection of books (at cost) to supplement the show as both a catalogue as well as providing a futher collection of reflections and essays. The books are not a requirement for hosting, but are offered at a reduced rate to supplement the show's intention.
The cost of exhibiting the show is dependant on the resources of the gallery and the type of exhibition the hosting location would like to have. (ie. projectors, dvd players, LCD screens) The exhibition is also suitable for inclusion in group shows.
